Clean water is not an option. It is a responsibility.

Most commercially available filters use simple activated carbon. This is primarily designed for larger, nonpolar molecules. However, highly mobile, ultrashort compounds such as PFAS or TFA are up to a thousand times smaller and highly water-soluble. They pass through many activated carbon systems unimpeded.

Dropvital relies on multi-stage microfiltration and nanoporous adsorption technology combined in a single cartridge. Our systems were specifically developed to remove complex contaminants. For those who simply want to improve taste

PFAS and TFA are considered so-called “forever chemicals.” They are extremely stable, completely water-soluble, and difficult to remove using conventional methods.

Dropvital combines a hygiene barrier with nanoporous adsorbent material. The filtration process operates down to the submicrometer range. Its effectiveness in removing PFAS and TFA has been confirmed by independent Swiss laboratory tests.

If you are looking for a PFAS filter in Switzerland that not only works in theory but is also technically proven to be effective, dropvital is the logical solution.

Yes. Trifluoroacetic acid is an ultrashort PFAS compound with very high mobility in water. Many central water treatment plants and conventional filters reach their physical limits when it comes to this compound.

Our technology was specifically designed to reliably adsorb even these smallest molecules. This is not a marketing claim, but is based on verified laboratory analyses.

Our microfiltration system uses high-precision structures on the nanometer scale. Particles, microorganisms, and even substances that are difficult to filter out are physically and adsorptively retained before the water reaches your glass.

The result is technically controlled, cleanly filtered water right in your home. Not somewhere in the water supply network, but right in your home.

Conventional water softeners replace calcium with sodium. This produces wastewater, increases the salt content, and harms the environment.

dropvital takes a different approach. Seed crystals are a physical principle in water treatment that is specifically used to influence lime scale formation. In this process, dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium first adhere to the surface of the seed crystals and form stable crystal structures there.

These structures continue to grow in the water, then detach from the seed crystals and remain in the water in a form that deposits on surfaces significantly less than limescale.

The natural minerals remain in the water, while pipes, faucets, and appliances are better protected against deposits.

This provides long-lasting protection for pipes, faucets, and household appliances in a way that conserves resources.

The total hardness remains measurable, since calcium and magnesium are not exchanged for sodium. What matters, however, is the practical effect: limescale in the form of carbonate is removed.

For water heaters, washing machines, and coffee makers, this provides the same protection as traditional water softeners, but without salt and without any environmental side effects.

Central water treatment plants do an excellent job. However, new contaminants such as PFAS are spreading widely throughout the groundwater. Not every substance can be completely removed using current technology.

A decentralized solution provides additional safety right at the house connection or under the sink. Control begins where the water enters the home.

Safety isn’t a matter of trust. It’s a technical decision.

Yes. Our systems operate without salt, without additional electricity consumption for descaling, and without wastewater. The components are modular, durable, and low-maintenance.
For us, sustainability doesn't mean making sacrifices—it means smart technology.

For homeowners, families, and everyone who takes responsibility. For people who don’t just want to hope that everything is okay, but want to ensure it’s technically sound.
Clean water matters every day. And with every sip.

Hygiene Barrier / Primary Filtration

Every dropvital nanofiltration system uses an active membrane featuring a hygiene barrier we developed: a redox-active functional surface with antibacterial properties. When bacteria come into contact with this surface, they are inactivated immediately at the point of contact. They cannot colonize or multiply within the filter, and the formation of a biofilm is prevented right at the source. This ensures that the active membrane remains hygienically stable throughout the entire replacement interval.

No. The effect occurs exclusively at the interface between the surface and water, not through the release of active ingredients. No substances enter the drinking water, and the effect does not diminish over the product’s lifespan because no active ingredient reservoir is depleted. This fundamentally distinguishes the hygiene barrier from systems that use silver or other released active ingredients.

A water filter provides ideal conditions for bacteria: a large internal surface area, a moist environment, and regular periods of inactivity without water flow—such as overnight or during vacations. Filters without hygienic protection can therefore become a source of germs over time. The hygiene barrier is therefore an integral part of every active membrane and is thus included in all dropvital products featuring nanofiltration: nano-home, nano-soft-home, nano-tap, nano-drink, nano-shower, and ultranano-drink. In the ultranano-drink, automatic flushing processes further enhance the protection of the reverse osmosis membrane.
